Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Prieur has a light red cherry and cranberry-scented bouquet with fine delineation, though I would like more vigor. The palate is soft and sweet on the entry, with candied red fruit and a light sorbet-fresh finish. This just lacks a little substance at the moment and more likely for early drinking than its peers.
