Tasting notes
The 2015 Barolos from Giacomo Grimaldi were the first we tasted from the vintage and it couldn't have been a better introduction to the year. Even with this village Barolo the aromatics explode from the glass. This wine has an amazing perfume of rose petal and exotic spice. The tannins are incredibly supple and fine. A vibrant acidity and a palate full of mulberry, damson and red cherry fruits, this is a great entry-level Barolo that is already drinking beautifully. The price to quality ratio is hard to beat in this seductive vintage.

Very attractive and vibrant red cherries with attractive florals on offer, too. The palate has a supple, elegant and juicy feel with bright, light red cherries and a soft, approachable and fresh finish. Drink or hold.
