Score 91/100 · Drink 2022-2035, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Nov 2019

Fenocchio's 2015 Barolo Cannubi is soft and inviting, with racy curves, expressive aromatics and fine balance. Sweet tobacco, licorice, dried herbs, cedar and sweet red cherry are some of the nuances that emerge. The radiance of the vintage is evident in the wine's ripe profile and slightly forward flavors. My preference would be to drink the 2015 sooner rather than later. The Cannubi is the wine in which the warmth of the summer is felt most.

An elegant, flinty nose that offers fine, bright and fragrant red fruit, from strawberry through cherry into plum territory. It also offers a layer of rose and herbal aromas. The palate is muscular, yet also very refined. A tightly coiled wine with explosive, sleek power. Give this some time. Try from 2023.
