Fruit from six parcels of vines blended together. Lively, cool and fresh with a slight glucose note. Just a little simple for the price but well-enough made in a burgundian idiom. Clean and crisp. (JR)

A little light and loose on the nose. It does taste a bit of a compendium, aka mixing bowl. Not especially distinguished. (JR)

The 2017 Saint-Aubin "Compendium" is, as the name implies, a blend of six parcels. It has quite an intense bouquet of chalky scents augmented by white flowers and a touch of sea spray. The palate is well balanced and makes a lively entry, offering orange peel, Granny Smith apples and even a faint tang of licorice. It fans out gently on the finish, completing a very fine Saint-Aubin. Recommended.

A cuvée produced from six different lieux-dits, the 2017 Saint-Aubin Compendium reveals aromas of sweet green orchard fruit, beeswax and white flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, elegantly glossy palate with a layered core, chalky extract and a precise finish.
