Exhibiting aromas of warm bread, orange oil and crisp yellow apple, Latour's 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Château de Blagny is medium to full-bodied, succulent and lively, with a vibrant core of fruit and a saline finish. It has turned out well.

Thereâs a very exotic array of ripe-peach aromas on the nose here. Melon notes, too. The palate has a very attractive, rich and expansive thread with a wealth of pithy, fleshy fruit flavor. Drink in the next eight years.
Cask sample. Very fresh, just-ripe fruit on the nose. Unadorned. Not a vestige of oak discernible. Straightforward. Lightly chewy on the end. (JR)
About the producer
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
