Tasting notes
Brilliant violet. Highly aromatic fresh black and blue fruits, olive, baking spices and violet on the nose. Smooth and seamless on the palate, offering energetic blackberry, cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate flavors complemented by subtle oak tones. Shows excellent clarity and finishes with building tannins, superb persistence and an echo of candied flowers.

Opaque ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes candied dark fruits and olive, along with complicating suggestions of pungent flowers and smoky bacon. Sappy and broad in the mouth, offering densely packed blackberry and cherry preserve and spicecake flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Shows very good focus and mineral-driven thrust on the youthfully tannic finish, which hangs on with strong tenacity.
Closed nose, simple palate, then a slight peppery spice on the finish. Dry, fine tannic weave gives the palate plenty of substance. Juicy and light on its feet. (RH)
