Tasting notes
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a pure, irresistible bouquet of dark cherries, cranberry, rose petals and orange blossom. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, and there is plenty of volume and substance here. Lightly spiced with a pinch of white pepper toward the finish. Just a little rustic at the moment, but this will improve with bottle age. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.
