Tasting notes
The new-oak spice looms fairly large on the nose. Underpowered fruit. Rounded but prominent tannins. Gastronomic in style, and there's enough fruit to age, but not enough of the character of Vosne-Romanée to really wow. (RH)

Excellent fruit definition on the palate – cranberry and rhubarb, with lovely crunchiness and clarity. Medium body, moderate length, bright acidity and a lingering spiciness to finish. (RH)
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village, matured in one-third new oak, has the powerful bouquet of the domaine’s Village Crus, featuring perfumed red cherry, strawberry and bergamot aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and quite saline in the mouth, leading to a brisk, vivacious, minerally finish. Superb.
