Solid nose with hints of chestnuts. Reasonably light but true and, surely, with ageing potential. (JR)

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge, which comes from mainly 70- and 80-year-old vines, has a light fresh raspberry and crushed strawberry bouquet that is nicely defined. The palate is well balanced, the 15% new oak nicely integrated and just giving a little heft on the finish.
