Tasting notes
Aged in oak barrels (35% new) for 12 months. Tank sample. Slightly oxidative edge to the fruit here seems to be revealing an acetaldehyde note. There is fresh apple fruit too, then long, layered dried fruits on the finish. Sophisticated creamy oak. Something of an outlier, but there is great charm here too. A second bottle is much fresher and more convincing. (RH)

Outstanding. There is a fleeting whiff of the exotic present on the ripe aromas of white peach, lychee, spice and dried apricot. The seductive mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors is finer if not denser while offering good length on the clean, dry and youthfully austere finish. This too could use a bit more depth.” Drink 2023+
About the producer

Although the Bichot family settled in the region in 1350, Albert Bichot was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot. Today the producer is one of Burgundy’s most respected, making wines from both its own vineyards and with purchased fruit.
