Tasting notes
Monteraponi is a small estate in the Radda-in-Chianti sub zone of the appellation. The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva Baron'Ugo opens to a medium garnet hue and detailed aromas of wild berry and cola. This is a finer and more feminine expression of Chianti Classico in which the character of Sangiovese comes through in clear tones. Sweet cherry and cinnamon also make appearances in the mouth. This wine will appeal to those who enjoy the lighter and more nuanced side of Chianti Classico.

Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Closed and a little peppery. Elegant and seductively light and sweet, but with real power and crystal-clear acidity on the finish. (WS)
