Tasting notes
The 2016 Saint-Aubin "Luce" is a blend of two vineyards due to the frost damage (see grower introduction for details). It has a waxy, resinous bouquet that just needs a little more joie de vivre. The palate is well balanced with lemon rind and orange pith on the entry, good depth and quite a spicy, tongue-tickling finish that you can feel a minute afterward. I like the bitter edge of this salty Saint-Aubin and it should age with style.
