2013 Pinot Noix Spatburgunder

High-toned, fresh and distilled red berries are mingled with licorice and wormwood extracts for a strikingly penetrating nose. The palate impression is firm, but glycerol-rich and full (at 13 percent alcohol, with chaptalization). The wood introduces a faintly drying spot but also some attractive spice, and the finish, thankfully, captures fresh red berry juiciness.
