Super-smoky reduction with matchstick and flint on the nose. Sharp fruit, then buttery and smoky on the palate. Toffee, caramel, lemon juice. Quite disparate elements on the finish. Ambitious, lengthy and stylish with obvious effort. (RH)

From a vineyard bought in 2012 that is higher and cooler than the winery site. 800 cases made. Both sweeter and fresher than the M3 bottling. Very attractive. (JR)

This offers impressive complexity and depth. Really tight-wound and reductive with citrus and peaches abound. The palate has a sleek, composed and linear style and really impressively judged ripeness. There’s a zesty edge to the fruit. Elegant and long. Drink now.
