Deep ruby. Expressive red and dark berry preserve, incense, licorice and botanical herb aromas on the nose, where a smoky mineral quality adds vibrant lift. Sweet, densely packed black raspberry, blackberry, kirsch and spicecake flavors spread out steadily on the palate, picking up hints of espresso, cracked pepper and licorice on the back half. Lush, broad and seamless in texture, finishing with superb energy and smooth tannins that add structure and gentle grip.
