Tasting notes
Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose – while partly shrouded by yeastiness and fermentative residues – anticipate the brightness and tang with which this wine buoyantly and invigoratingly hits the polished palate. Inner-mouth lily-of-the-valley perfume and a hint of black currant (not unusual for this site) add appeal en route to a vibrant, lusciously lingering, stone-lined finish. What a classic Prüm Kabinett!

Immaculate transparency here with bright Granny Smith apples, guava peel and citrus. Light-to medium-bodied, nice and lean with detailed and crunchy acidity. Filigree finish. Drink now.
The 2017 Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett offers a clear, bright, fresh and flinty bouquet with nice reduction. On the palate, the wine is light, lush, piquant, fresh and salty, with grip, tension and spring-like clarity and freshness. A gorgeous, highly stimulating Kabinett. Tasted in March 2019.
Really interesting minerally undertow to this. Lightly reductive nose and then with really intricate fruit underneath. Super-light and refreshing. (JR)
