The medium gold-colored 2014 Hermitage Prisme Blanc is a richer, more evolved white that offers notes of crème brûlée, apple tart and brioche in a medium-bodied, nicely textured, richer style. It has good freshness and a clean finish, but I suspect it's best consumed over the coming couple of years.

Pale gold. Fresh, mineral-laced Meyer lemon and pear aromas are complemented by deeper honey and sweet butter nuances. Tightly wound orchard and pit fruit flavors unfold with air, picking up a citrus fruit character and a touch of smokiness. Leaves behind dusty mineral and citrus notes on a strikingly long, focused and penetrating finish.
