Brilliant violet color. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red and blue fruits, baking spices, potpourri and a smoky mineral element emerges with air. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, lively boysenberry, bitter cherry and candied violet flavors are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Shows sharp focus and building spiciness on the penetrating finish, where polished tannins add gentle grip and focus. All whole clusters.

The 2017 I Am The Owl Syrah has an impressive nose of stems, herbs, florals and cherries. It's not terribly dark in color, nor richly fruity, but it's a complex, silky charmer, despite having only 11.2% alcohol. It's light-bodied but flavorful, with a long, mouthwatering finish.
