Tasting notes
The 2016 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos offers up a classy bouquet of preserved lemon, subtle peach, honeycomb, fresh croissants and white flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and layered, with considerable power and chewy extract, displaying excellent depth and energy. It's a serious wine, but it will be quite open-knit and accessible by the standards of Les Clos.

The 2016 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru comes from a parcel at the top of the slope. It has a refined bouquet with scents of dried honey, quince jus, musk and jasmine. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry, the concentration obvious from the 15hl/ha yields, but there is very fine definition on the slightly astringent and saline finish, even if there is not quite the personality and charm of the Vaudésir or Blanchot.
