Kistler's 2015 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard is soft, open-knit and gracious, all of which will make it easy to drink and appreciate upon release. Orchard fruit, dried flowers, chamomile and almond notes grace a subtle, understated Chardonnay that speaks in hushed tones. Today, the McCrea is a bit subdued relative to how it showed from tank.

Intensely savory and mineral, the 2015 has handled the richness of the vintage well. Readers who enjoy rich, phenolic Chardonnays will flip out over the McCrea.
