Tasting notes
(no frost): Bright ruby-red. Sweet but lightly medicinal aromas of red and black cherry; seemed to close up in the glass. Supple and concentrated but quite primary, even a bit reduced, and distinctly less showy today than the Caillerets. The medicinal quality carries through on the finish, where the slightly angular tannins build. This wine needs a racking--not to mention time in the cellar.
