Score 86/100 · Drink 2017-2022, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016
The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge has a potent nose that is positively bursting with macerated red cherries, desiccated orange peel, almost Gamay-like in terms of precocity. The palate is sweet and ripe with plenty of sucrosity, again almost Gamay-like in personality with a succulent finish. A bit heady perhaps? Maybe, but what cannot be denied is that it will be delicious in 2-3 years.

About the producer

Domaine Duroche
Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
