Pale crimson. Juicy. Quite edgy and totally pure. Tastes as though it was aged in old, good-quality oak. Really echt , to be drunk with or without food with a little fine tannin still. GV (JR)

This is what things have come to: nearly £20 for Bourgogne rouge! Thank goodness it is a good one, then. In fact, this is spot on, with violet, redcurrant, herby complexity and leathery complexity on the finish. Far more complexity and earthiness than basic Bourgogne routinely offers. (RH)
Mineral-scented and lively. Racy and fresh. Strawberry and stoniness. Very cool and lively. Light but not inconsequential. (JR)
The 2016 Bourgogne Rouge, which includes some purchased grapes, offers straightfoward cherry liqueur and strawberry scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit, a little tough at the moment but it should flesh out by the time this is bottled.
