Score 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2018
(13.2% alcohol; 50% vendange entier ; 80% new oak): Good medium red. Quite oaky on the nose, like the Echézeaux, offering aromas of redcurrant, spices, licorice, herbs and pepper. Then a bit more harmonious in the middle palate than the more masculine Echézeaux but still reticent, conveying strong saline minerality. I find this quite tannic but not astringent. Still, I wanted a bit more fruit sweetness. The yield here was normal in 2016, according to Forey.
