Score 91/100 · Drink 2024-2050, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of raspberries, red cherries, rose petals and candied peel, the 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussières Vieilles Vignes is medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with fine-grained, chalky structuring tannins and tangy balancing acids, displaying its propinquity to Morey-Saint-Denis more obviously than the supple, charming 2017 rendition.

Bright crimson. Really quite heady and Chambolle on the nose. Lots of attack and precision. Fruit well in evidence. A seriously good example of 2016’s charms.16.5 23-31 (JR)
