Tasting notes
Quite funky from the wild ferment with plenty of white peaches, wild herbs and flowers. This is a concentrated and firm wine with considerable depth and complexity. Needs time to reveal its treasures. Hence, better from 2019. Made from biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification.

From 90-year-old vines on gray slate, the 2016 Pündericher Marienburg Riesling "Felsterrasse" shows a pure, fresh and mineral nose with perfectly ripe and concentrated but not overly fruity mirabelle aromas. Full-bodied but with great finesse and elegance, this is a gorgeously salty, seemingly weightless and filigreed Riesling of mind-blowing complexity. The finish is enormously salty, precise and fresh. The 2016 is almost lean but terribly complex and elegant. A great, great dry Riesling from the Mosel.
