Tasting notes
(these vines are now about 50 years old): Bright yellow-straw color. Good lift to the aromas and flavors of peach and spices, with suggestions of more exotic fruits. Concentrated and firmly built, displaying good intensity and cut but not quite the complexity for a higher score. A good choice of harvest date here, as this wine retains fresh acidity.

(these vines were barely touched by frost in 2016 but were lightly affected by mildew): Ripe musky peach on the nose, plus a faint animal quality; a bit rustic. Sweet, soft and slightly saline, with the peach fruit carrying through in the mouth and on the finish, where it's joined by a nutty nuance. This fruit may have been picked too late.
