Light yellow. Deep, fresh, slightly reduced aromas and flavors of ripe apricot, peach and spicy, nutty oak. Concentrated, tactile wine with good intensity and inner-mouth energy, but the oak seems less well integrated than in the younger 2017 version, currently blurring the wine's fruit and minerality. The finish shows a hint of bitterness that will need time to be absorbed.

Organic. Bottled. The merest hint of struck match, more pronounced on the palate. Spiced, well oaked and incredibly long. Excellent harmony and a big but refined wine with mouth-watering freshness to the end. (JH)
(50% new oak): Bright yellow. Sexy musky reduction to the aromas of peach, lemon and smoky vanillin oak. Broad, fine-grained and rather large-scaled, with a pineapple flavor complicated by brioche and buttery oak notes. The lovely savory middle palate leads to a subtly persistent finish with an impression of sound acidity. This wine nicely combines the mineral drive of its Garenne component and the floral character of the Chalumeaux.
