Score 92/100 · Drink 2022-2032, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2020

The 2017 Tayac is dense, powerful and full of character. Dark cherry, plum, wild flowers, mint and blood orange are all laced together in the glass. This is a plush, full-bodied and super-expressive Margaux. Powerful and yet reserved, this is a sleeper wine of real class and great value. In a word: fabulous.

The 2017 Chateau Tayac is solid, with classic Margaux elegance as well as complex notes of dried flowers, spice, and both red and black fruits. Medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and silky, yet with solid underlying structure and depth, it's a terrific 2017 that will evolve for 10-15 years.
