Tasting notes
The 2015 Chardonnay Cuvee Cathleen is an absolute knock-out! Opening with gregarious nectarine, pink grapefruit and green guava scents over nuances of ginger ale, brioche, crushed cashews and mandarin peel, the palate delivers mouth-coating stone fruit and tropical flavors generously accented by baking spices. It has a decadently creamy texture and oodles of freshness to lift your spirits, finishing very long with a compelling zesty kick.

The 2015 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard Cuvée Cathleen is ample, full-bodied and distinctive, as it always is. Distinctly mineral and savory, the Cuvée Cathleen captures the magic of this tenderloin within the west-facing section of Steve Kistler's original Moon Mountain vineyard. As always, the Cuvée Cathleen is a Chardonnay of phenolic intensity and structure, with explosive energy and tons of personality.
The 2015 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard Cuvée Cathleen is ethereal and gracious, with plenty of textural richness expressed in an understated style. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint, white orchard fruit and a touch of French oak are the signatures. Lifted in feel, the 2015 speaks to nuance, clarity and delineation.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
