Tasting notes
The 2016 Puligny Montrachet les Folatieres is matured in 50% new oak, cropped at 40 hectoliters per hectare and was bottled three weeks ago. It has a pure orange blossom and white peach-scented bouquet that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine sucrosity matched by a keen line of acidity. This is a pretty Folatières that should give a decades’ worth of pleasure.

Tiny parcel bought in 1993 from Domaine Chartron. Barrel fermented and matured in 50% new oak for 9-10 months. 120 cases made. Bright fruit. Easy and very well balanced. Lemon cordial and exuberant. Rich and fun. (JR)
