Score 94/100 · Drink 2015-2024, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Aug 2015
The 2012 Malbec Finca Altamira shows very ripe aromas of plums, back cherries, darker fruit than the 2013 sibling, notes of decayed rose petals and something organic. The palate is juicy with good acidity, fine tannins and a subdued minerality. A ripe, fruit-driven version of Finca Altamira. 7,000 bottles produced.

Full ruby. Brooding nose offers black fruits, violet and dark chocolate. Plush, sweet, round and harmonious; fatter than the Bella Vista but without quite that wine's inner-mouth tension or thrust. But this smooth, deep wine nonetheless offers excellent vinosity. Finishes with smooth tannins and lingering suggestions of game and smoky oak.
