Tasting notes
Now with a bit more time in bottle than when I last tasted it, Suduiraut's 2017 Blanc Sec is compelling and delicious. Citrus peel, mint and floral notes give the 2017 notable freshness, but there is a good bit of weight from the 50% Sémillon as well. This is a such an alluring dry white.

White grapefruit, citrus, and hints of crushed mint all emerge from the 2017 Le Blanc Sec De Suduiraut. This juicy, racy, lively dry white has medium-bodied richness, a touch of minerality, terrific purity and a great finish. It should drink nicely for over a decade.
A white with some pleasant green-apple and lemon character and just a hint of oxidation at the end. Medium body. Simple finish. A blend of semillon and sauvignon blanc.
Just bottled, the 2017 Blanc Sec offers up attractive scents of citrus peel and white flowers. The 50% Sémillon adds texture, but the Blanc Sec remains a wine of built on freshness and energy. Drink this refreshing aperitif-style dry white over the next 2-3 years.
