Tasting notes
The 2017 Sigalas Rabaud has a light bouquet with lemon verbena, quince and hints of saffron, though I would have preferred more energy to come through by now. The palate is better with a superb line of acidity, fresh and crisp, one of the more tensile vintages, although it doesn't fully deliver the same complexity as the 2014 or 2016. But the finish has a lovely tangy marmalade and an almost peppery note. Drink now and over the next ten years. Tasted from a bottle sent directly from Sigalas Rabaud to the UK.

Tasted blind. Pale gold colour. Heavy oak, lanolin and a hint of VA here. Wild nose. Intense sweetness on entry, good poached stone fruit but lacking a little vibrancy and energy. (TP)
The 2017 Sigalas Rabaud shows good energy and depth in its citrus, floral and slight tropical notes. Even so the angular contours I saw in barrel have never fully resolved. I would prefer to drink the 2017 sooner rather than later, as time will only accentuate those harder edges.
