Tasting notes
The 2016 Givry 1er Cru Le Pied du Clou is very pretty, offering up a direct bouquet of juicy cherries, potpourri and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, velvety and delicate, with fine-grained structuring tannins and a juicy core of fruit. Tightly spaced at some 11,000 vines per hectare, this parcel is planted with young vines—but the cuttings were taken from famous domaines in the Côte d'Or.
