FINE+RARE, Feb 2018

Often used to provide the backbone of Barossa’s most famous wines, this is a rare opportunity to taste a wine made exclusively from this historic vineyard. The freshness and earthy tones give an almost European feel, yet the concentration of fruit and pristine character are very much true to Barossa. Ripe black cherry and black plum fruits combine with fragrant dried herbs and very fine tannins - all are brilliantly balanced

There’s impressive depth to the assertively rich dark fruit here with plenty of earth and a spicy edge. The palate follows in a very rich and succulent mode with a strong and plush feel to the seamless build of fine, rich and detailed tannin. Superb, spicy allure here. Drink or hold.
