Tasting notes
The 2011 Meursault Narvaux is one of my favorite d'Auvenay whites. It offers brilliant mineralite on the nose with hints of almond and even a touch of white chocolate in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a very confident opening of vibrant, energetic citrus fruit infused with orange rind, clear honey and a slight viscosity on the finish. This is a very complex Meursault that will age with style. Drink now-2023+. Aug 2013, www.robertparker.com

About the producer

Domaine d’Auvenay is part of the Leroy empire (along with Domaine Leroy and Maison Leroy). It is named after Lalou Bize-Leroy’s home, an old hunting lodge outside Saint-Romain in the hills above Auxey-Duresses, which she shared with her husband Marcel until he passed away in 2004.
