Lustrous mid ruby with orange tinges. Still a little brooding and with plenty of concentration underneath. Perfumed cherry with the first signs of tobacco, but this hasn’t reached its plateau yet. Truly finely perfumed with aeration. Supple and layered yet still compact on the palate with firm tannins. Very long. This is ageing beautifully. (WS)

About the producer
Established by Nello Baricci in 1966, Baricci is one of Montalcino’s founding producers. The estate’s small five-hectare plot is situated exclusively on the Montosoli hill in the north of Montalcino – renowned for producing distinctly elegant and aromatically complex Brunello.
