Tasting notes
Bright fruit and lots of edginess. A long-term wine like the regular village. Quite chunky. Encouragingly persistent. Wait. (JR)

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Spice and red cherry on the nose. Really tangy and spicy on the palate, with freshness and intensity. Real drive to a long, scented finish. Tannins pretty chewy now but there’s harmony for bottle ageing. (JH)
The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Clos le Village lost 40% of the production, less than others due to the protection of the church that lies in close proximity. Matured in 50% new oak, it has a clean and pure bouquet with Morello cherries, raspberry preserve and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, the oak nicely integrated here and with good substance on the finish for a village cru. Merci à l'église!
