Tasting notes
A blend of young-vine fruit from Reynard and Patou with old-vine fruit from Sabarotte, the 2016 Cornas Renaissance is impressive for its outstanding texture—tender, silky and almost delicate—allied to dark, earthy notes of black olives and blackberries. It's approachable young yet should drink well for a decade.

Starting to hit its groove. Meat, spice, earth, chocolate, coffee and bramble fruit. Such a charmer! Precocity bottled. (RH)
Super fresh and composed with some slate, iodine and spiced red plum fruits. The palate has a very sleek, smooth and fine core, nicely phrased tannins, elegant, focused. Best from 2022.
Glass-staining ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of red and blue fruit preserves, licorice, olive paste and peony are complemented by a sexy floral overtone. Stains the palate with intense, mineral-accented black raspberry, boysenberry and spicecake flavors, while a floral pastille nuance gains strength with air. Velvety, even tannins shape an impressively long, floral finish that shows outstanding clarity and dark fruit thrust.
