(50% new oak): Good medium-dark red. Slightly reduced aromas of black raspberry, cherry, mocha and minerals; one can sense the cool combe influence (vines in Les Marchais make up about half of this blend). Offers subtle mid-palate sweetness along with serious rocky, salty minerality. Finishes firm but not hard, with good energy and length. Humbert likes this village wine for its taut side in 2016.
