Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2018
Kutch's 2016 Pinot Noir Bohan Vineyard is lifted and gracious in this vintage, with striking aromatic presence and deceptively mid-weight structure that makes its case more on persistence than body. Cranberry, rose petal, blood orange and pomegranate add layers of nuance. After a few years, Jamie Kutch seems to have found the right balance in this site, and it shows. This is the lightest and most lifted wine in the range.

Gosh look at this alcohol! Pale slightly greyish crimson. Not much nose at this juncture. It almost seems to be fizzing! A high level of carbonic? Lots of astringency. Very much a work in progress. Lightly vegetal. (JR)
