(tasted from a two-year-old 1,200-liter foudre ; from vines on a steep, stony, southeast-facing slope): Pure ripe peach on the nose. A lovely midweight with peach and spice flavors framed by harmonious acidity and firmed by a spine of minerality. Finishes stony and persistent. A very rich Monthélie from 25-year-old vines.
