Score 89/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Mar 2018
The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino is taken down a notch or two in terms of intensity (compared to previous vintages). The wine is streamlined and tight, with an elegant array of aromas that start with wild raspberry and red currant and move delicately toward grilled herb and exotic spice. The wine shows a mild and finessed mouthfeel without much power—or staying power for that matter. If offers immediate drinking appeal.

Riper style with dried berry character that turns to flowers. Full body, very fruity with tannins that are covered with plum and cherry flavors. A friendly and opulnet red. Drink or hold.
