Tasting notes
Showing a luminous ruby color, the 2012 Barbaresco Bric Turot offers an unexpected layer of intensity and sparkle. This Nebbiolo is finely stitched together with seamless integration and silky tannins. The grit and the structure of the wine remains firm, but the effect is powerful and elegant, nonetheless. This Barbaresco offers lasting intensity on the palate.

The 2012 Barbaresco Bric Turot is quite impressive for the year and also shows how strong the vintage can be in the right places. This is one of the more large-scaled, dramatic wines I tasted. The balance of fruit and structure is quite appealing. A deeply spiced, mentholated finish laced with hints of blood orange, pomegranate and baking spices rounds things out in style.
