Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2026-2046, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2018
The 2016 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is plush, deep and quite concentrated, with more oak influence than some of the other wines in the range, at least today. Super-ripe black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and new oak are some of the signatures. This is a decidedly plush, dense Burgundy built on weight and considerable mid-palate richness. - Antonio Galloni
