Tasting notes
The 2015 Anaperenna Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon is 82% Shiraz, but that Cabernet component really adds a lovely lift of mint and tea-like herbal notes on the nose. On the full-bodied palate, this is big, rich and ripe, just as you'd expect from Glaetzer, with notes of charred meat, espresso and black olive joined by vanilla, cedar, earth, blackberries and cassis. Intense, concentrated and richly textured, with a long, velvety finish, this shows excellent poise and elegance for a big wine.

Glass-staining ruby. Dark berry liqueur, fruitcake, smoky oak and vanilla on the deeply perfumed nose. Stains the palate with pliant black and blue fruit, mocha and floral pastille flavors, while peppery spice and mineral nuances add lift and back-end cut. Fleshy and deep but surprisingly lively as well, thanks to a core of juicy acidity. Finishes on a youthfully tannic note, displaying excellent focus and fruity persistence.
