Ripe, black-cherry and blackberry aromas with a super-fine, fresh feel. Nicely cut, very plush and even. Good depth and ripe, red-plum drive. Subtle, smoky and spicy edge to the finish. Drink or hold.

Deep ruby. Highly perfumed scents of ripe dark berries, olive and violet, along with a peppery quality that builds with air. Fleshy and expansive on the palate, offering appealingly sweet blackberry and cherry cola flavors that deepen on the back half. Fine-grained tannins build steadily and fold smoothly into the juicy dark fruit on an impressively long, spice-laced finish.

(50 percent new oak) Bright purple. Dark berries, violet, vanilla and smoky minerals on the highly fragrant nose. Pliant blackberry, boysenberry and spicecake flavor show very good focus and depth. Picks up a hint of cola with air, lending an appealingly sweet touch to the very long, sappy finish, which features repeating dark berry and mineral notes and velvety tannins that come in late.
