Tasting notes
Waxy and bright, the 2016 is full of energy. Pure flint, Meyer lemon and grapefruit pith, with more delicate white florals all vie for attention, while the palate is all about pure crunchy apple, minerals and its vibrant acidity.

The 2016 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Fonte Canale is remarkably pretty, sitting in a beautiful place within its drinking window. Yellow flowers, hazelnut, raw almond, dried apricots and hints of autumnal spice form its enticing bouquet. It's silken in feel, not a hard edge in sight, with ripe pit fruits that swirl beneath an air of custard and white flowers, all intensified by a core of stimulating acidity. More minerally through the finish, it tapers off with admirable length and salty concentration yet leaves the mouth salivating. This is still maturing: Stunning.
About the producer

Tiberio is one of Italy’s most exciting names. Cristiana Tiberio is at the helm of this Abruzzo estate today, which was founded by her father Riccardo. Known in particular for its old-vine Trebbiano Abruzzese, Tiberio now sits alongside Valentini and Emidio Pepe as a leading light of the region.
