Tasting notes
Lemon curd, baked apple, full body, sour cream and toast on the palate. Honeycomb character. Long and satisfying. (RH)

Limpid straw. High-pitched citrus zest, green apple and floral aromas, along with a chalky mineral overtone and a hint of quinine. Vibrant, dry and silky in texture, offering juicy pink grapefruit and Seckel pear flavors that deepen steadily with air. Shows firm tension on the incisive and impressively long finish, which leaves behind bitter citrus pith and honeysuckle notes.
Picked slightly riper than the other two Rieslings reviewed here, the medium-bodied (12.5% alcohol) 2016 Riesling Isolation Ridge offers peach-like aromas alongside hints of lime. It's not as austere as the Poison Hill, and somehow less interesting because of that, being a bit broader and less filigreed on the palate. It should drink well for up to a decade.
